Mars Area High School Boys Varsity Soccer Team will take on the West Allegheny Indians in the semifinals of the 2018 WPIAL Class 3A Boys Soccer Championship at 8 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, at Moon Area High School.

The Fightin’ Planets tamed the South Fayette Lions 4-3 in overtime in the WPIAL quarterfinals on Oct. 25; and subdued the Chartiers Valley Colts 4-1 in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs on Oct. 22. The team ended the 2018 regular season with an overall record of 16-1-1 and remaining undefeated (14-0) in section play, earning the Section 1-3A title.
