Mars Area High School will hold its 2017 Homecoming celebration continues through Saturday, Sept. 30.
The theme of this year’s Homecoming celebration is “Through the Decades.” A Homecoming Pep Rally will be held at approximately 1:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29.
The 2017 Homecoming Parade will be held at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 29, in Downtown Mars, followed by the Fightin’ Planets Homecoming Football Game against the New Castle Red Hurricanes at 7 p.m. at Mars Athletic Complex. The Homecoming Queen will be crowned at halftime.
The week will end with a Homecoming Dance, to be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Mars Area Centennial School. The Homecoming King will be crowned during the dance.
Dance tickets are $25 per student, Wednesday, Sept. 6, through Friday, Sept. 22, then $30 per student after that date. All ticket sales end on Friday, Sept. 29. (Note: Attendance at the dance is limited to those ages 20 and younger.)
